Soup for Seniors, January 8th – February 5th

Winter is a very difficult time for our older homebound neighbors and the choice between food, medicine and heat can be hard.  LACC Faith In Action Ministry, an arm of our Faith Health Ministry, is once again partnering with LOA to help our neighbors in need by collecting Soup and other non-perishable items in their Annual Soup for Senior Drive.  This collection help to provide a hot meal on a cold day and reminds them that in the bleakest part of the winter the community has not forgotten them. Last year we collected five-hundred fifteen (515) non-perishable items of soup, crackers, peanut butter , fruit cups, oatmeal and much more.  The FIA Coordinator solicited the help of our Benevolent chair who donated $200; and also, a $50 donation was received from the CWF and given to LOA to make purchases.

LACC FAMILY, let’s increase our giving this year.  LOA’s goal for 2023 is to collect 45,00 pounds of (soup) food to be delivered to 2,750 seniors here in our community.  Due to the pandemic more seniors than ever before are homebound and in need of these supplement resources.  Our drive will begin on Sunday, January 8th through Sunday, February 5th.  Boxes to receive your donations will be placed at both entrances of the church.

Thanking you in advance for your willingness to help the least of them my brothers and sisters.
